Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake bringt den Horror-Klassiker von 2003 in einer vollständig überarbeiteten Fassung zurück. Im Mittelpunkt stehen die Zwillingsschwestern Mio und Mayu Amakura, die in einem abgelegenen Dorf voller ruheloser Geister gefangen sind. Während Mayu einem geheimnisvollen roten Schmetterling folgt, muss Mio den Weg durch enge Gassen, verfallene Gebäude und düstere Schreine finden, um ihre Schwester zu retten.
