On sale July 22nd, 2022 – Originally released for the SNES, LIVE A LIVE is reborn in HD-2D—a fusion of pixel graphics and 3D CG—and comes to the Nintendo Switch!
Seven stories featuring seven time periods, protagonists, and gameplay variations—in what order you progress and how you proceed is up to you.
Featuring character designs by acclaimed manga artists Gosho Aoyama, Osamu Ishiwata, Yoshinori Kobayashi, Kazuhiko Shimamoto, Yumi Tamura, Yoshihide Fujiwara, and Ryouji Minagawa.
Also including new works by Octopath Traveler’s Naoki Ikushima, and majestic rearrangements carried out under the supervision of the original composer, Yoko Shimomura.
The original director, Takashi Tokita, has returned as producer to oversee development in its entirety.

LIVE A LIVE|”Imperial China” Short Trailer
One of the various stories, “Imperial China” tells the role of the Earthen Heart shifu, an old kung fu master who lives atop Mount Aspiration. The shifu has no heir, and so he fears that his martial knowledge will die with him. Thus does he resolve to venture forth in search of a worthy successor.
Once he has gathered three disciples, he will subject them to relentless training to unlock their true potential. Of these three, who will rise to the occasion and become the next shifu?
